Segarra is a comarca (county) in Catalonia, Spain, situated on a high plain. Historically, the name referred to a larger area than the current comarca. It has a continental climate, with cold winters and hot summers, and between 350 and 450 mm (15-18 inches) of rainfall per year. It is a grain-growing region, with some pine woods and a few evergreen oaks.

Segarra is located on the central Catalonia plateau, in the eastern part of the province of Lleida. The valleys of the rivers Corb, Ondara, Sió and Llobregós mark the mainly flat territory from south to north. In the south are the Montargull and Bellmunt sierras and in the north the Pinòs range. This was once the borderland between Christian and Islamic lands, which is why there are so many castles and fortified towns. The historical importance of the capital, Cervera, is reflected in the monuments. This is agricultural land (cereals and olive and almond trees), with stock-breeding, and a tradition of related industries (the large cooperative of Guissona).
